BANK LABS AND STARTUPS – ACHIEVING A WIN-WIN MODEL

  • A testimonial breakfast was organised on 12th February at Finance Innovation place at the Palais Brongniart, jointly organised by Lingua Custodia, Finance Innovation and bank HSBC. The theme was big bank’s labs for startups, as a catalyst for innovation for banks and a win-win model for both parties. It was illustrated with concrete feedback from a recent and successful POC in the HSBC Lab completed by Lingua Custodia. More than 80 guests from the world of finance and Fintechs were present.
  • Maximilien Nayaradou from Finance Innovation gave a comprehensive overview of innovation ecosystems and placed labs in them, Béatrice Collot (Head of Global Trade and receivable Finance HSBC France and CEO HSBC Factoring) described the activities of HSBC France GTRF’s lab, Olivier Debeugny (Founder of Lingua Custodia) presented the activities of Lingua Custodia.
  • Massinissa Ahmim (Product Specialist at Lingua Custodia) detailed the challenges and benefits of the lab to ensure the success of the POC. Including the possibility for a startup to carry out a true test with the operational services of a major bank without having to undergo all the administrative or security procedures related to a referencing and with dedicated support to motivate all the participants.
  • Alexandra Bonenfant (Head of Business Management – HSBC GTRF) detailed the positive feedback on Lingua Custodia’s POC, notably with proven benefits in terms of cost, productivity and process simplification for HSBC, which make it possible to justify moving into production mode with the support operational and purchasing staff.
