Lingua Custodia Lab is growing and welcomes new Ph.D. in Machine Learning

We are pleased to announce the arrival of Melissa Ailem, who joins our Research & Development team as Machine Learning Researcher alongside JingShu Liu, reporting to Raheel Qader.

Previously, Melissa was a postdoc researcher at the University of Southern California (USC) where she was working on Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
She has published numerous articles regarding Unsupervised Learning, probabilistic mixture models as well as NLP tasks such as word embeddings and abstractive summarization.

Prior to joining USC, she worked as a teaching and research assistant in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Paris Descartes University.

Melissa holds a Ph.D. in Machine Learning and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence both from Paris Descartes University – Paris, France.

She speaks English, French, Kabyle, and Arabic.
