Paris, 3 October 2019 – Following the completion of a €1.1M fundraising operation in July (see previous Press Release), Lingua Custodia is delighted to announce the opening of its Luxembourg branch.
Lingua Custodia Luxembourg becomes the backbone of Lingua Custodia business development for the European markets with the ongoing recruitment of a multilingual sales team. The official opening of this new office, housed at the LHoFT (Luxembourg House of Financial Technologies), will take place on Thursday 10 October at 6pm.
Frédéric Moioli joined us on September 1st as Managing Director for the new company and he will lead our global business development. He has more than 15 years of B2B International Sales experience, with a strong focus on the financial industry. He has always been based in Luxembourg. His previous role was Key Account Manager for the financial department at GFI Informatique. He is fluent in French, English and Italian.
“We are all delighted and proud that Frédéric has agreed to join us to help Lingua Custodia achieve two key objectives: become as international as the global financial companies who are our clients and scale our international business development capabilities.”
“When starting the discussion about this position, I was immediately drawn in by the Fintech Entrepreneurial spirit, the quality of the technological solutions and the values of Lingua Custodia. And I am certainly not the only one! We have received a huge number of applications for the newly-opened sales positions in Luxembourg. I take a lot of pride in being the first to fly the flag for Lingua Custodia outside of France. I look forward to leading its international business development.”
The other objective of raising funds in July was to invest in Marketing and Customer Servicing tools to support the overall business growth plan. The company has already adopted a brand new logo, graphics chart and website.
Lingua Custodia was founded by former asset management professionals. The Fintech company builds machine translation engines specifically designed for the financial industry and specialised by type of document/linguistic sub-domain. The aim is twofold: cater to the full spectrum of industry needs and achieve a superior translation quality thanks to highly domain-focused deep learning algorithms. The result: tapping into an estimated market potential of 1 billion euros in Europe alone.
It offers a full range of services, with around 100 specialised engines available in 9 languages: French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and more recently, Chinese and Japanese. The company presides over accounts with more than fifty clients, including heavyweights from the French and Global banking industries.
Lingua Custodia – the language custodian in Latin – has been recognised as a Young Innovative Company by the French Ministry of Research, certified by Finance Innovation since 2014 and is one of the founding members of the France Fintech association created in 2015. The company is also a member of the LHoFT (Luxembourg House of Financial Technology) since 2018.
