On 10 March 2022, we organised a webinar on sustainability reporting and its nuances. Sustainable development is now an important part of corporate strategy. While regulations require transparency and reliability, data is lacking. Since the data is holistic and not standardised, accessing and processing it remains a challenge for institutions.
We cross-referenced the analyses of two experts from the financial industry, both of whom are experts in ESG and Artificial Intelligence.
Oriane Schoonbroodt, Director&Strategy at PwC Luxembourg, oversees projects on sustainable finance and ESG strategy.
Olivier Debeugny, CEO of Lingua Custodia, a fintech expert in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning specialised in finance.
The speakers first discussed the objectives of sustainability reporting. They looked at the risks and impacts considered in these reports and explained the ever more specific expectations of the regulator.
In the second part of the discussion, Oriane and Olivier addressed the difficulties of accessing, understanding, and analysing reliable quantitative and qualitative data. Finally, they highlighted the technological solutions that already exist and those that are yet to be developed.
Please contact Oriane Schoonbroodt and Olivier Debeugny if you have any questions.
We recommend reading the article recently written by Oriane Schoonbroodt, which explains the issues of materiality and double materiality in sustainability reporting. Read the article.
We invite you to watch our webinar on the topic of SFDR regulation, produced with our partner Sequantis in June 2021. Watch the replay.
